Birfday time is coming...

Well, it's almost December and that made me realize something important. Birfday season is almost here! (Oh, Tigger tells me it's spelled b-i-r-t-h-d-a-y.) That means Grams will be invited over for birthday dinners soon. Hurrah!  Also I will need to eat extra special birthday meals. Hurrah again!

Let's see, coming up in the birthday department:
The Roo turns 17... and I turn 5 years and 7 months on the same day. Joint fish flavored birthday cake Roo? I know that I'll eat it.

Tigger turns 20.  Shortly after Roo and I have our birthdays. I think that she should have a beef birthday cake and then I can eat it all up.

My little cousin Mr. J the First turns 2 a few days after that. I'll eat 2 pieces of chicken in his honor!

My little cousin Mr. C has his birthday a few days after Mr. J the First's 2nd birthday. I'll eat 3 loaves of bread in his honor!

Am I missing anyone?
I am going to have to lick my chops a lot after all these special birthday meals!

Timber!!!!!!!!

We had a tree taken down in the front yard today. I was not a big fan as it was very noisy. And there were lots of big thumps and bumps. I had to go hide in the living room. Sadly I don't have any pictures to show of the event.

A Little Woods Walk

Start with a nice juicy stick
I needed to take the humes for some excercise after yesterday.A few pics of the event. It was very sunny so my humblest apologies that they are not the best quality.

Then head to the woods for lots and lots of serious sniffing.Good smells.

Be a bit naughty and go in the stream

It is hard to see but I am posing with some beautiful roses

Hope you enjoyed walking with me.

MEALS I HAVE LOVED-FIRST IN A NEW SERIES

I is a very smart dog and would refuse to eat my kibble unless it was doctored up with lots of real food. I knews what I wanted. So my humes have been giving me the good stuff since my beloved Ellen told my humes I didn't have to eat nasty puppy kibble any more. Since I love to eat I thought you might enjoy seeing meals I have loved. This will be a series of occasional posts.
YUMMY!!!!
First up was my special Thanksgiving dinner. I am terribly allergic to turkey so I had my own chicken meat.

Always supervise the food prep.very important

Finishing up the liveblogging...

Howdy. Kanga left me a comment asking for me to finish the liveblogging. Here it goes.

We ate at about 11:35. The humans had turkey, gravy, stuffing, vanilla maple mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, brussels sprouts, fizzy jello salad, rolls, pumpkin pie, and apple pie.

Roo did such a nice job setting the table!!!!

I had chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, roll, and applesauce. Yummy!!!!!!!

"Oooooohhhhh!!!!!Tiggss!!!!!!Please hurry up! I'm so hungry."

After the meal it was clean up time. I forgot to get the humans to take a picture of the kitchen before they started cleaning up...

Then it was time to watch Sense and Sensibility with the girls. Daddy worked on painting the dining room. Kanga went off to work. I took a nap. oh, and I went out and chased some deer too in there.

Then it was time for the Roo to go off to work. Then I woofed and woofed to get some dinner and Tiggs fed me.Now Daddy and I finishing up watching the football game.

The pies. Check back later for a story about why there are so many...
Well folks, I thought that I could live blog the day. It's just going to be me, Kanga, Owl, Tigger, and Roo for dinner today. So far, I've eaten a tasty breakfast and gone on a nice walk with the parents.

Tiggs and the Roo are doing the cooking. As you can imagine I'm keeping a close eye on things.
Here are some pictures from so far today.

The pot on the back left burner and the pot on the front right burner have sweet potatoes. The pot in the back right corner of the stove has applesauce.
I'm exhausted after my TG walk in the woods.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of my beloved readers.

Let's see, what am I thankful this year??????

In no particular order...

Food. I LOVE my food. See my list of top ten favorite foods on the side bar. I can always enjoy a good piece of beef, a loaf or two of bread, and a banana. YUM!
A frosty paws is also always nice.

My charming, if at times eccentric,  family. They are the bestest, and I take full credit for training them so well.
Me with some of the family.

My dog friends, especially Miss C and Miss T next door. This time last year it was a big annoying squirrel was trying to pass itself off as a dog that lived next door. I don't miss Mr J at all! Miss C and Miss T are much nicer and I like them as neighbors so much more.
A dog pal at the park.

Car rides. Have I ever posted about going for a ride? I don't think I have. Anyway, I adore going in the car. It's so much fun.

(Hmmmm, I don't have any pictures of this...)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Dr. Celery

AHEM! AHEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me. Making an announcement.  An important one. No, not this important one, but another important one such as "I love the snow, peoples!"

I have an  incredibly important announcement to make. My favorite brother is now a Ph.D. (code word for certifiably smart, but we already knew that).

Congratulations Mr. Dr. Celery!!!!!!! I love you lots and lots and lots.

Bernies in action!

Pooh let Tigger know about this adorable ad for milka chocolate, featuring a bernese mountain dog.

Thoughts

* Kanga said today would be a good day for a baff. Oh no! I hate getting wet. Hopefully when Kanga goes off to work in a few minutes the rest of the family will forget that she said that about it being good weather for baffing.
What a sad dog !
* Thanksgiving is in a few weeks. I think that eating  turkey is silly. I get sick when I eat it, so that's why I dislike it when others eat turkey because I am not allowed to eat any leftovers. Harrummmph! This year I want Kanga to cook a chicken instead of a turkey. Think she will?

* I still haven't invited Grams over for dinner. I need to work on that a get some one to call and invite her. I'd do it myself, but when I try to dial with paws...

Happiness is...

... walking my girl (and Kanga -she took the picture) on a loverly fall day.

Leaf time!

Here are some pictures of me raking leaves.  (Tigger's note: Umm, I was the one raking she just supervised. Just for the record.)

Isn't my tail cute sticking out of the leaves?

Then, when the hard work was done, I had to play soccer, naturally. After all, a great soccer star like me needs to keep her game in form. Leaf piles are, by the way, excellent places to flop with one's soccer ball.
And yes, my paws are really that cute in person...

One mustn't forget the importance of chewing on a good stick.

All in all, last Saturday's raking was lots of fun!

Waiting for Roo

Oh my darling, o my darling Roo-Roo Tine, you are across the street again oh my darlin' Roo-Roo Tine.

Roo. Please come home. NOW.
What a look of longing. It should break your heart Roo Dear.

(Explanation: The Roo has a early morning sitting job across the street, and the Rosie is always upset about her being over there. Hence these pictures of her looking morose. )

Pulling Leaves

In the autumn, leaves come off of deciduous tress. Then the humans rake them up. That's when I go to work.  I wear a harness.

2:13 PM. My humans put my harness on me.

2:17 PM. Roo hooks the traces up to the tarp. Daddy loads the tarp with leaves.

2:18 PM. Off I go for treat.

The story you have just seen is totally true. Names have been changed to protect privacy.

Dear Grams:

Dear Grams,

Last night I realized something sad. I haven't seen in you in a very, very long time. I think it's been about a month. I know it's been since before you went to visit my little cousins before littlest cousin was born. So, since I've been having a decided lack of this
Grams and I. Pure bliss.
I thought that maybe I should invite you over.  I know I miss you and I am sure that you miss me.

I'll have one of the family call you- it's hard to dial with paws.

Love,

Rosie

Busyness

Well folks, sorry for not updating here this week. It's been a busy week in the life of the Rosie.

What have I done this week?In no particular order I've...

1.) ...barked at trick-or-treaters on Monday night. Why wouldn't Kanga let me go see them? I don't know, but I was annoyed. A.N.N.O.Y.E.D. So I barked and was mad that I was shut in the family room.

2.) ... rolled in something that I thought smelled wonderful, and the Kanga thought was not so wonderful. However, I have the superior nose *ahem!* so obviously I was right. She does have charming snow boots though.

3.)...eaten some tasty meals. Whatever it was that I snarfed down while playing stick with Tigger in the yard today was delish, absolutely delish!

4.)...taken some splendid naps on my bed. It's soft and comfy.

As you can see, it's been quite a busy week for me so far!

BAAWGB,
Rosie
