Today, our dear friend Mrs. V. came by for a visit. Mrs. V. is a former homeschooling mom who now teaches in a classroom, for those of you who may not know her.:)
I was very, very happy to see her, because she likes dogs, and knows just where to scratch behind me ears. :) She came over because Kanga was giving her some books to use in her classroom, and it was just like old times again (well, except that when Roo [who's helping me type this:)] was in 3rd grade, the conversation was more about how homeschooling would help develop independence which would help all their kids in college and careers, and now it's about how homeschooling did develop that). The conversation was on all the same topics it used to be: homeschooling, children's books, gardening, and the insanely high rate of school district taxes. Oh, and Pooh, in case you were wondering, if Kanga were to give you a five minute warning while talking to Mrs. V. today, you could pay about as much attention to it as you could back in the glory days of writing club. Some things never change. Fortunately, our talent for getting lost in parking garages is one of the things that
has changed.

| Note that this is the same couch used in such classic plays as "Life, Love, and Death on the New York Subway" , " The Committee", "Macbeth (the original version, by Wilma Shakespeare", and others... (Wait was Macbeth at our house or the V.'s. I can't remember now. :)) |
Lots of love to everyone,
Rosie:)
