Rosa of the Bathervilles

According to legend.... (Warning: The following involves a graphic description of a bath. Sensitive readers are reccomended to go read a cheerier post:)).
Many years ago, in a valley deep in the mountains of Switzerland, there lived a Bernese Mountain Dog named Rosa.  Rosa lived with a semi- dysfunctional  English ex-pat family called the Bathervilles.  Rosa was a sweet and charming dog who looked a little like this.

One day, they decided that Rosa's own sweet, charming scent was obnoxious. Insanity did tend to run in the family. They realized that there was a solution to this.  They would douse her with water, rub her with sweet milk and Rose scented shampoo, and then she would smell "good".
They bathed Rosa, and overnight, she morphed into this:

only scarier. The moral of the story: As you value your life, do not go out on the Moors at night bathe your Bernese Mountain Dog.
Hint, hint, Tigger and Daddy, hint, hint.

XOXO,
Rosie
