PIZZA BONES!!

Tonight, the family had pizza for dinner.  I love pizza night, because they always give me the "pizza bones". Well, except that occasionally one of them, usually Owl or Roo, forgets to give them to me. Bad humans. Luckily for them, they were very good and gave me plenty tonight. I just love pizza bones.

Me chewing on a Nylabone. It's not as tasty as a pizza bone, but it lasts longer. :)

Pooh and Dr. Celery come in 8 days!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pancakes for Breakfast!

So, Kanga is the best! She made pancakes for breakfast today. She claimed that they were for the humans, but I got a couple too.

So cute that it needed to make another appearance!

Also cute. My sleepover at Grams' house the night of the hurricane.

I love my Kanga!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX,

P.S. It is raining again. Fortunately the hole in the roof is patched up so hopefully I won't get wet.

Democracy!?!?!?!?!? FIDDLESTICKS!

You may notice that in the poll that was posted about Baby Celery, the results were:

37% -Bernie puppy
31%-girl
25%-boy
1%-other

We live in the US, and the people have spoken. Baby Celery is supposed to be PUPPY CELERY! But no, according to Puppy Celery's mommy (Pooh) Baby Celery is a:"very active, healthy, perfect little baby human (Sorry Nabby and Rosie, we are not having a bear cub or a bernie puppy)! Baby Celery is measuring right on schedule for 21.5 weeks, measures approximately 30 cm and 420 grams with a heart rate of 135 bpm, and appears to be in training for the 2028 Olympic gymnastics team. The great due date mystery has also been resolved, my due date is at 41 weeks because [the country where the Celerys live] doctors consider 41 and not 40 weeks the standard length of a pregnancy."

Pooh and Dr. Celery, I love you very much, but look at the results of the poll. The populous wanted a Puppy Celery!

I mean how could anything be better than a puppy who looks just like me?

An Ode to Kanga

Kanga's the best*!
She loves me lots!
She goes shopping for my food and gives me pats!
She gives the best bellyrubs too!
I love her lots!

Kanga's the best!

Kanga's favorite dog. Me.

* The best Mom in the world that is. I don't want the other humans to get to jealous

The Pipes in the Sky Are Leaking Again...

but this time inside... Last night I was snoozing happily away when I heard Roo yell "Hey Daddy!!!!! You might want to come check out the big water bubble on the ceiling over my bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Words that struck fear into my heart. And probably into the hearts of Kanga and Owl as well.

It turned out that apparently one of those big old trees was nasty and dropped something onto the house and poked a hole in the roof and after all the heavy rain yesterday it lead to there being a lot of water in the ceiling in Tigger and Roo's bedroom. Makes me glad that I'm a downstairs only dog!  Owl ended up punching a hole in the ceiling to let the H2O out.  The only good part of all of this was that Tiggs came and slept downstairs with me.

Guess I should start wearing this inside all the time!

WWFN!
These trees are pretty alright, but I'm sort of mad that them right now. Did you know that they are more than 100 feet tall?

Love,

Rosie, who's afraid that her bedroom might start leaking water next!

Where's Rosie Hiding?!

Howdy, folks,
Today, I was very silly.  Believe it or not, I pulled the blanket over my own head. Multiple times. It was very cute. :)

I was very sad because it was very rainy today. :(

*Sigh*

Be it here by known that Tigger has won the weekly Bad Human of the Century award.  After my bath she didn't clean out my ears, so now I have an ear infection.  Luckily, Tigger is redeeming herself by bathing my ear to make it feel better. :)
This a picture of when I had a growth taken off my leg a year or two ago.
Don't forget to ask yourself: WWRLTE?
Hope y'all are having an awesome Bright Week!

ROBINS EGGS FACEOFF

Malted milk eggs are a favorite Easter candy here. But 2 manufacturer's make them.We were forced to check it out. These are the mini eggs. The one on the left is made by The New England Confectionery Co.(the makers of Necco wafers)
On the right the more local Hershey brand Whoppers.

These are the larger eggs.If you look closely you will see that the Whopper eggs have chocolate.Obviously Rosie votes for the Might malts since dogs can't have chocolate.

Looking sad because no one gave her ANY candy,Don't feel too sorry. She has had lots of real Easter eggs

Why the much too early blooming azaleas pictured here?Because they are Hershey Red azaleas.Get it?

A final picture of the very hot Rosie. It is really hot today and Rosie is not appreciating it!

Pascha!!

After humans got up and fed me (most exceedingly LATE, I might mention), they watched McHale's Navy and Dennis the Menace and Leave It To Beaver.  They decided not to go to church because Owl has a cold, and Kanga works. Around 1, Tigger and Roo started work on the dinner.  They made ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, green salad, lemon velvet, and luscious lemon layer cake.  Kanga made strawberry- rhubarb jello salad. :)
I do NOT approve of them eating ham, since I am allergic to it. Kanga left for work around 2:30. I tried to take the girls on a walk, but they wouldn't come. (Correction: We tried to walk Rosie and she wouldn't go, so we went on a very nice walk while she watched hockey and baseball with Owl. ~Roo)
The girls finished working on dinner while also working keeping an eye on the sports games. (Roo would like you to know that hockey players need to learn some Gracious Professionalism. :)).
Then, Grams came over. I was most happy.  I love her.  The humans played Parcheesi, and then ate dinner.  After dinner they walked me, and then they ate dessert.  Here are some pictures of the cake that the girls made.

Christ Is Risen!

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Today!

This morning, Roo got up and went across the street to her babysitting job.  I was disconsolate, and woofed until Owl came downstairs and fed me.  Owl went upstairs, and a few minutes later Roo returned.  She was loving on me, when the Tigs came downstairs, and said, Oh! Poor Rosie! You haven't eaten or gone out yet! Roo, why don't you take Rosie out, and I'll work on her breakfast.
Roo took me out, and we came back in as Tigs was putting the finishing touches on my breakfast.  Just as she was about to give it to me, Owl came down again, and said that he had already fed me.  Tiggy wasn't going to waste the food, so she gave me a 2nd breakfast! It was very exciting. :)

The humans had church this morning, and will head back again this evening.  I'll miss them.

Receive me today, O Son of God, as a partaker of Your Mystical Supper.  I will not reveal Your mysteries unto Your adversaries, nor will I give You the kiss as did Judas, but as did the thief will I confess you, "Remember me, O Lord, when you enter into your Kingdom."

Holy Week

Well, it's that time o' year again.  Holy Week, the humans call it, though I sometimes call it Stinky Week. Why this dichotomy of usage in Rosie's family, you ask? Well, you see, the humans go to church at least once every day during Holy Week, which means that I get left home alone a lot. Great and Holy Friday is the worst. Three times they leave me.  THREE TIMES!!! What's a dog to do?
Oh well. It's all worth it on Pascha. :)
Behold, the Bridegroom comes in the midst of the night. Blessed is the servant whom He shall find waiting, and unworthy is the one whom He shall find heedless.  Beware, therefore, O my Soul, not to be overcome by sleep, lest you be given up to death and shut out from the Kingdom.  But raise yourself, crying out, "Holy, Holy, Holy are You our God, through the intercessions of the Heavenly Hosts, Save us."

Rosie

So is this a good day or a bad day?

The jury is still out. Help me decide!

Arguments for it being a good day:

- I took Frisco on a walk today. It was fun.

-I got an especially large dinner.

-It's Saturday so Daddy didn't go to work.

Arguments for it being a bad day:

- I got bathed... Need I say more?

- The humans left me this morning to go to church. Holy week is starting today (I personally call it stinky week because I get abandoned at home so much!!!).

- I got bathed.

- Did I mention that I got bathed?

Well peeps, what do you think? Good day or bad day?

Love,

Rosie

WWRLTE?

WWRTLE: What Would Rosie Like To Eat? is one of the most important questions you can ask yourself.  It should be asked at least twice a day- morning and evening for my breakfast and dinner.
Here are some more suggestions for when to ask it:

When I'm injured.  Protein helps me heal, you know.

When it's cold out.

After working hard to earn my keep.
After a romp.

On holidays and special occasions.

After helping Wol with important stuff around the house.

After a long walk in the woods.

After and during exciting events like Pooh and Dr. Celery coming home....

And after traumatic events...

When something unusual happens in my territory.

When I'm sad.

When I'm lonely.

When the weather's bad.

When I'm tired...

I think you get the idea. :)
