Some of my friends and neighbors

Call me Ishma-Rose. (Name that book!) Sorry. I couldn't think of a spectacular way to start this post, and the original of that is supposed to be one of the most famous opening lines in English literature (English as in written in the English language- Roo is 95% certain that Herman Melville was American. He was [at least according to that great fount of wisdom, Wikipedia{and no, I do not think that wikipedia is reliable.}:)]. :)).  Did you like my beautiful use of parentheses?
ANYWAY......... Now that Roo has skilfully made you forget what this post is even about..... I love my friends and neighbors.  They include:
Mrs. J. lives next door. I adore her, and she loves me.  I also love her dogs, Miss Charlotte and Tia. They're very small compared to me. :)  I went over to see her, and I got very excited. I jumped, and I rolled and flipped in a pile of leaves. I just couldn't control myself!
Then there are Eowyn, Eomer, and their little brother Fili are also great pals of mine. Eowyn is about 6, Eomer is 4, and Fili is 1 or 2.  They love me, and I love them.
Further down the street live my golden retriever pal Shay, and her kids.  James is 6 ish, Albus about 4, and Lily is 2, I think. Kids these days! They grow up so fast!
On Eowyn, Eomer, and Fili's street lives my good pal Lucy, who's 7 or 8, and  her older brothers Peter and Edmund, who are twins, and her little sister Susan. * Lucy likes to give my family advice on how to take care of me. They have 2 cute little Jack Russells.
Several houses down from them live Merry and Pippin. They are brothers who are 5 or 6 and 2 or 3. I love seeing them. They're a little scared of me (especially Pippin), but their mommy loves me.
I hope you enjoyed meeting some of my friends and neighbors (why is Roo singing "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood, a wonderful day to be a neighbor...."?!?!?!?).
I don't have many picture of me with them, but here's a good one of me. I'm enjoying a treat that Mrs. J. gave me. :)

Love,
Rosie
*Yes, I know Susan is older than Lucy in Narnia, but this little girl is much more like Lucy than Susan.

I don't know. Do they? I think he died, didn't he? It's sad if today's kids don't have Mr. Rogers.
Good job on noting that reference, btw. I wasn't counting it, but you did find it. :)
Love,
Rosie
