Have you been injured ...

... In a work related accident and NOT received compensation?
Every day Owl goes to a strange, dark, faraway, evil place called "Work". I don't know where Work is, or even what it really is. All I know is that it is a horrible place that takes my Owl away from me everyday. Sometimes, it even kidnaps him for multiple days. When it does, the family refers to it as a "Business Trip". Clearly they are in denial. Anyhow, I always get very excited when Owl returns from the dangerous land of work. The other day, I got extra excited. I always get more nervous about the chances of his return when he has been kidnapped (owl-napped?) for a while.
I was thrilled when he came to the door Monday. I started barking and bouncing up and down, and wagging my tail.  He came in, and I started greeting him properly when I slipped on the wood floor. I yelped and went into the other room, holding one paw off the ground. (I'm recovering slowly but surely, thank you for asking, but my recovery is besides the point of this post.)
Now, every so often when the family is watching our favorite TV shows on Antenna TV (playing the greatest hits of the '60's, '70's, and oh shoot, that's the radio station. Antenna TV is an oldies TV station that plays stuff from the 50's through '80's or '90's) we see ads for law offices promising remuneration to people who were injured in work related accidents.
Now, let me map out the facts for ye. First, Daddy went to work, on the morning of the incident. Secondly, as a result of going to work he came home on the night of the incident.  Thirdly, as a result of his return, I got excited and started bouncing around. Fourth, as a result of bouncing around, I was injured. Ergo, if Owl had not gone to work, I would not have gotten injured. It'll stand in any court of law, dontcha think?

Not from this injury, but an old one.
WWFN,
ROSIE!!! <3
