Only at our house...

Genuine conversation that occurred today (For some background, Roo couldn't finish her apple at lunch because it was huge, so she offered some to me [she was eating it out of hand so she couldn't offer it to another human because they're weird about germs and stuff], but I didn't want it. Later this afternoon, I was looking for a snack, so she grabbed it off the counter and started giving it to me) :
Roo: Rosie, why didn't you want my apple when it was nice and fresh at lunch time, instead of now when it's all brown?
Me: I like the brown.
Roo: Oh, you like to wait for redox reactions to occur?
Me: Yes, I prefer my apples slightly redoxed.
Roo: Ok. That's a little weird (that you like apples that way), but whatever floats your boat. Have another piece.

Methinks we're a little over the top with the geekiness sometimes. :)
