Football Season Is Upon Us

It's fall, and that means football (did you notice that the word "fall" is contained in football?!) season is starting, and baseball season, is, sadly, winding down.  I think football looks a little too violent for my taste, but I like watching it with Owl. It's quite soothing to sit in front of the TV with the game on, getting patted by one's Owl. Y'all should try it some time....
My family (well, except possibly Kanga and Roo who have been known to cheer for the Steelers), are Eagles fans, although they will cheer for the Vikings, if they're not playing the Eagles or the Steelers.
 I am here today, however, to instruct you in the proper terminology for how the Eagles are doing, so that if you should happen to overhear a conversation about it in my family, you won't be confused. From best to worst:
Beagles- They're doing really well. Like making it to/ winning the Superbowl well. (BTW, Beagles go at the top because beagles are dogs, and dogs are superior to birds.)
Eagles- They're doing well, but not quite well enough to qualify as Beagles.
Bagels- Their performance is mediocre
Moldy bagels- They're doing somewhat badly
Frozen moldy bagels- They're doing very badly badly
Stale frozen moldy bagels that expired in 1989 from the back of the freezer- They're losing E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G., and that by a large margin. This is the only level we've never seen. As a matter of fact, Roo just made it up while she was helping me type this. :)

And now, for COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, I'm not going to say too much here, but GO VOLS! Why am I a UTennessee fan, you ask? Baby Celery's carseat is proof that he likes them, and if he likes them, who am I to not like them? Not to mention, their mascot kinda looks like me. ;-)

Who do YOU cheer for, football wise? The Vikings, the Steelers, the Ravens, the Eagles, the Cowboys (please, no one say Cowboys. PLEASE.)....? The Nitanny Lions, the Blue Hens, the Golden Gophers, the Vols, the Tigers (I assume Owl's alma mater has a football team?), the Golden Rams, the- oh, shoot, I don't think I know any more college football team names.... Actually don't answer those questions- I'll put up a second poll in the sidebar for NFL teams, and in a week or so, I'll replace it with college football. :)
